Brooklyn subway shooting leaves13 injured

The NYPD reported a shooting at a Brooklyn subway station Tuesday morning during peak commuting hours to Manhattan.

At least 13 were hurt, according to NYFD sources.

A shooting occurred at the 36th St. station in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.

The police agency would not say how many individuals were shot or if anyone died. The suspect has escaped.

Firefighters responded to a smoke call in the DNR. Upon arrival, units find many wounded and undetonated devices. It's still a busy scene.

"There are NO live bomb devices at the 36th Street subway station in Brooklyn," NYPD News tweeted at 9:53 a.m. ET.

"Witnesses should phone #800577TIPS to @NYPDTips. Please avoid the area. When accessible, further information "he goes on.

According to a law enforcement source, the suspect is a Black male "wearing an MTA uniform, a gas mask, and carrying a bookbag."

A high-ranking law enforcement source said extra troops, including police K9s and heavy weaponry, have been dispatched to subway stations around New York City.
