Gary Payton II's Huge Game 5 Contribution

In the final moments of Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets, Gary Payton II looked like a seasoned veteran.

The Golden State Warriors needed more than the usual suspects to overcome a double-digit deficit against a desperate Denver Nuggets team.

Gary Payton II came up big in the final minutes of the fourth quarter as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson kept the Warriors ahead.

Payton II contributed 15 points in 26 minutes to Golden State's 102-98 victory over the Nuggets in Game 5. After the game, Payton II's coach and teammates praised him.

“I don't even know where to start,” head coach Steve Kerr said of Payton II's efforts.
