There is a "best by" date on every can so you know when to stock up on fresh and tasty canned products.


Most have a shelf life of around 2 years; after that period, they may no longer look their finest but are still perfectly safe to use.


When kept in a cool, dry environment, canned goods have a significantly longer shelf life than the dates on the cans indicate.


To make sure we use up our food before it goes bad after being stored for two years, I attempt to stock my cupboard in reverse order.


It's as simple as making ensuring the cans are undamaged and stored in a cool, dark place if you want to preserve canned products for a long time. 


Keeping canned goods in a cool, dark place will increase their storage life and allow you to have healthful meals on hand for longer.


Canned meals don't deserve the negative reputation they acquire, as they are perfectly adequate replacements for fresh or frozen foods in times of shortage.


Many of the nutritional advantages of whole, fresh, or frozen meals are still present in canned versions, and many people find them to be more convenient.


To top it all off, cans are a lot cheaper, so they're the best option if you're trying to save money while grocery shopping.
