Mayor Adams to reverse COVID vaccine mandate for athletes and performers
Mayor Eric Adams will exempt athletes and performers from NYC's private sector vaccine mandate on Thursday.
Sources tell CBS2's Marcia Kramer he'll make the announcement Thursday morning at Citi Field.
As a result, unvaccinated athletes such as Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving and baseball players will be allowed to play at home.
Ali Bauman of CBS2 spoke with fans outside the Barclays Center.

In Downtown Brooklyn, Isamary Lopez wants to see them play and run around the gym.
"It's good he can now play, be with his teammates, play the game he loves, be on the court," said Crown Heights resident Ken Fergueson.
"I'm happy to see the Nets win," said Xavier Andrews of Downtown Brooklyn.
