On Friday, MLB suspended Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer for 324 games.

The two-season ban is the longest since the sport's domestic violence policy was implemented in August 2015.

Bauer announced that he will appeal his suspension, becoming the first player to do so.

Bauer has been out since July 2. If so, when does Bauer's 324-game suspension begin?

Bauer won't be eligible to return until the 19th game of the 2024 season, because postseason games don't count.

Bauer missed the final 81 regular-season games of 2021 and the first 18 of 2022.

But he got paid his full salary. Because he is appealing the suspension, that time will not be counted.

Bauer can file a grievance against the suspension, which will be decided by an arbitrator chosen by the league and the players' union.
