Popular Sandwich Is Back At Wendy's
Wendy's Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich is returning after a February debut.
The new sandwich has panko-breaded Alaskan pollock, lettuce, American cheese, pickles, and creamy dill tartar sauce.
Wendy's formerly offered a fish sandwich with the same toppings and wild-caught North Pacific cod.
Many consumers liked the pollock sandwich's texture, taste, and crispiness better than the cod sandwich, so the firm brought it back.
The debut comes two days before Lent, enabling people who won't eat meat on Fridays and Ash Wednesday. The Square Deal says some places sell this sandwich year-round.
The Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich costs $4.29 (location-dependent).
Wendy's isn't the only fast-food business adding a fish sandwich this month. Popeyes introduced their Flounder Fish Sandwich last week.
It's prepared with fried, Cajun-seasoned flounder fillet. Classic and Spicy versions of the sandwich are back.
Arby's new Spicy Fish Sandwich joins the King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe Sandwich and Crispy Fish Sandwich.
