SpaceX launches 4 astronauts for NASA

SpaceX launched four NASA astronauts to the International Space Station on Wednesday, just two days after flying millionaires to the station.

Jessica Watkins, the first Black woman to fly in space, is part of the first all-female NASA crew.

Kathy Lueders, NASA's space operations mission chief, said the crew is “one of the most diversified we've had in a long time”.

The astronauts were due to arrive Wednesday night, 16 hours after leaving Kennedy Space Center. They'll be there for five months.

Over two years, SpaceX has launched five NASA crews and two private trips.

Musk's company just finished transporting three businessmen to and from the International Space Station as NASA's first private guests.

The three Americans and one German will return to Earth a week later in their own SpaceX capsule. Three Russians also live there.
